Personally, I think in addition to hampering production on the planet until you get advanced we can now live here environment tech, PQ should be halved. Then it can be restored once you get advance tech.

The JK event is a KILLER on TINY/SMALL maps. Let me suggest if MAP_SIZE="TINY" OR MAP_SIZE="SMALL" NUM_PLANETS_TO_JK_PER_RACE=1 also if MAP_SIZE="TINY" OR MAP_SIZE="SMALL" JK_THE_HOMEWORLD=FALSE If you have 6 planets and lose two, its rough. Yes it is per player and per race. Example: Like me playing as Thalans for example and contacting Torians and making a deal. I could also call up the Drengin and make a deal. I couldn't talk to the Torians again for 8 more turns.
I am going to demand more PLAYER stuff, since there's plenty of processing power to go around. Let's talk about the scouts for the player are all dumb (except for the first one) and just follow the leader. AI players use scouts efficiently. Aside from that I'd also want some ADVISORS capable of analysis and reports. Compare your race with another and compare component space broke down by hull type
Thanx Goldy and Random50. It's the same way for me. I HATE slow moving ships, because um they're slow. I hate it taking forever to get somewhere. NOW I in no way am defending ships with HUGE moves, either. I think that there can be a happy middle ground somewhere.

Ugh. Please for the love of God, don't make engines bigger and cost more. I already HATE ship speed the way it is. Maybe what I'd ask for if you HAVE to would be raise space in Large and up. Small and Tiny are already limited and just fine.

1.) Minor races are usually Toast first. Better you get that PQ 15 world than some other. 2.) Just don't forget to use the good ol' Ion Drive Colonizers and Constructors while you are doing the research. Its key to grab the best planets and resources as fast as possible. Sometimes I think I'd say I agree with the OP's sentiments, but Stardock has what's best for everyone playing the game in mind. There was a time way back when I didn't agree with certain changes, but I got over it. GC2 is a kickass game. My advice would be to 'lump it' and live with it. It just keeps getting better. well thats my 2bc
Bob and Stab are right, AI is no slouch on tough and above. So crank up the diff if you want a challenge, the AI will step up the challenge it presents.
