It's "Stream-Lined" for your benefit. Also, you get some techs so you don't totally start at the beginning. You're not limited you can go farther down the tech tree, but you're just not given the chance to research other defences.
Supreme Shogun
Makes you wonder if the reviewer wasn't having his own spiked ice tea or something.
buggier my butt... A... Civ 4.. is a distant memory for me now.
BTW if you do find some good strategy write ups post em as what is on the forums is quickly getting better but isn't consolidated enough. Well this isn't the first time someone's asked. I know I gave tips in several different threads. Have you tried the forum search function ?
It's been brought up before, I raised the issue at least once.
I guess it depends on if you stand to benefit from this patch how bad you want it or not. For those few that have been getting CTD this throttling thing will fix it.
How's it hangin', Chad ? Lolz
Totall disagree with #1 and #2. Tactical is ugh abuse friendly. Not only that I certainly don't want more micromanagement controlling my ships and ground forces. Go here and conquer is good enough. Not sure what you are asking for with #3. Ecm and the like is already in.
I totally agree with that. Up til now, M002 was the standard. Now it's time to put it to pasture. The good thing you can read into it is no comparisons to MOO3. LoL!
Also, should I be building my own ships all the time or using the prefab designs? I usually build my own and then upgrade the design every time I research a new component, starting over every time I get a bigger hull. Is that what I should be doing? Yep thats what you should be doing. They're good
Based on my observations at the difficulty I play at. AI either builds no farm, only having a pop max of 5 billion or only builds one and don't have to provide many entertainment to keep that kind of population happy.
sounds like a bug. If you have a save send it to stardock. So what random event was it ?? That may shed some light too
Yeah I agree with that last post. I know people are saying Oooh Laser 3 fear me now! or come on couldn't stardock do something better with their time? or this tech tree is so lame. No I am not referring to the OP but I saw this rant on another forums where they weren't as nice. The STRATEGY here is that each iteration means you can have more absorbtion for defence or damage for offense per units of space. When you get your first weapons
I find myself wanting to read reviews and see what others think. I am also lurking in Gamespot site and found several ecstatic reviews.. My favorite one said "It's hard to call a game a classic three days after its release, but... " Other links to other sites reviews revealed review scores in the 90s out of 100, high 90s, 4.5/5 and wow. I gave it a 10 and definitely have it in the 'now playing' list. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T
I have to agree with Josh Alexander. A ftw.
Heh at least he didnt whine for MP too.. LoL.
That would be cool but what about the resources needed to do that? Is it automatic kinda deal or would require people to do ?
We have a record # of stickies here! Release day came with excitement and some issues. I agree with stickies - those help heaps. However there still is the issue of needing push MORE at the bottom to see if someone posted something new...
when can we stop beating this dead horse? bah, my last game took 3 days.. who's going to play a gigantic galaxy with you ? and not fall asleep, leave to eat or goto bed. It is not feasible the way people think of MP.
I won a tech victory... it took a full turn after the research thing popped up. So yup, there's a different movie for each ending Suh-WEET.
Agreed on small/tiny maps you can do this.. but you won't get to the other side of galaxy fast enough on huge/gigantic.
I have Civ 4 on my harddrive.. It's been lonely since the release of GC2.
nah.. I want a few more hull sizes in my expansion pack.
I'll say it again, Brad and crew at Stardock deserve success. You really have something to be proud of in GC 2. Thanks for your hard work.
