1) I can go with that. 2) I would like to see some planetary help to invasions. Soldiering bonus is lame, IMO. Especially if you think its going to help you. As a defender, you have to make sure they don't land. Maybe if it was 150% soldiering bonus I'd actually build planetary defense. Fleet manager are decent build. I'd like to see a planetary missile base (or lasers or mass drivers ) help out defending the planet. IMO they should re-label the tech to "Planetary Offense". I

look for a sig.bin file in your dir and delete it. re-register the game on the game launcher or use Stardock Central. btw, if you need your game keys e-mailed to you Stardock can help with that also.
Oh and no matter which way you choose to win the game by, having an adequate military is key. Even peaceful means, most time AI won't pick on you and go for softer targets.. which is why minors bite the dust so easy.
I found myself seriously disrespecting the OP and decided not to post w/o thinking about it seriously. It's too easy to name call or insinuate education level The races are unique and well thought out. The graphics are phenomenal. The AI is great, it makes playing single player fun. Something other games don't have. It's a
It's not about 'friendly'.. have to get them 'close' to work. No mention of difficulty here either. Harder diffs = harder to curry favor.
Money exploiting is.
Sounds like something a Drath would do.
Kryo Mod + GC2 = Love Love your mod, Kryo. Always have. There's been a version of it or another running as long as you put 'em out. MANY THANKS. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a
Well set a planet to building a constructor type ship. Set a rally point normal on a starbase. Set planet to send its ships to that rally point. Press turn button until ship is built. Voila. You can set/change rally point to different starbases. I've been loving this for a while now.
I've been wondering about "What is Mega Events, really? " Therein lies the answer. Answer that and you also have your answer about the pirates. It does shake the universe upside down, maybe it does what it supposed to. My concern lies with exploiting it, and preventing exploits. I will share my christmas game with you - This game I had plague, pirates, jagged knife, and dread lords. Holy Crap! I rallied myself out of it, but the AI was just crippled. I
It's very early for mods in DA. IF I recall correctly, they are not officially supported/blessed in DA (*yet*). Also the 'devs' have asked us to not use them for now. The key word is yet, because more than likely at some point there will be mods.. its just too soon.
Always had a version of Kryo's Hull Mod. Great stuff.
I've poked my nose into Civfanatics Forums a time or two to hopefully stir up interest. I know it is not a lot > no flames please>
Uhm what do you want us to use instead. I think pretty much people call it as it is.
Let's just face it. NOT having those techs puts ANY player at a disadvantage. If you avoid those colony techs all together, you are saying no to colonizing 25% to 50% of the galaxy. The AI would be stupid not to. Pricey, yes. But that's so tech trade morons who trade everything to everyone can't get it for cheap. Personally, my own thought is that the techs and trades work just fine. The AI will trade if given enough.
Moose hit it dead on. GalCiv needs latest drivers for your vid cards.
Aww damn they are coming back.
My bad. Thanks for setting me straight Kryo.
Happy New Year from Ohio.
Well if you can remember your email and password for your stardock account, you can get your serial e-mailed to you.
Yep. It's in the DA beta versions already. You can actually declare war on the diplo screen. Or you can force them to declare war. Like make em mad. Demand money. Build influence bases after they ask you not to. Park fleets by their worlds. Include transports in those fleets. Hehe.
Anybody have some advice or tips they can pass along to me? Strat guides or tips to help make this game more enjoyable? Let me direct you to the 'Strategy' part of the forums and take a look at the wiki, get the galactopedia and offer Star Pilot $50. Well 3 of 4 ain't bad.
Wow. How do I put this gently. You need a new vid card and sound card. There is a little hope of playing without. First you will need to update said video drivers and sound drivers to the latest version. If I recall correctly it has been mentioned that the 64meg cards may handle the game but you'd have to turn off/down lots of options and definitely no anti-aliasing or shadows. Edit: then again you may definitely need to buy the vid card... quote from wiki - <table cellpadding
Why the triple speak here is what I'd like to know.
