I never put a farm on my home planet as it kills the morale there even if you put 3-4 morale buildings as well! For me its factories and manu capital all the way

I do not believe it has been done previously and afaik the initial colonies and civ capital are hardcoded into the game.

Next you need to raise your friendship level to 'Close', this is done via trading so you need to set up a trade route to the prospective race. It also has a very minor change: I made the high scores list also list metaverse games. And its for little things like that we really love you
One way i have found that works is to build 1 or 2 factories on a new world depending on the PQ of the planet and then build 4 economy buildings. These are great as they cost nothing to keep but bring in more bc's per turn. I then leave the planet until it reaches 6 bil people before deciding on the planets final layout. One thing to remember that i believe has not been mentioned is that you should not build on those lovely 700% bonus tiles until your economy can sustain the huge financ

For safety you should always start a fresh game with each new update. Whilst some things are ok to move between the versions the majority are not. This has always been the case and is especially true with beta builds. The error for MV posting may well have been caused at the initial start of the game and by playing a later version the error will not disappear, rather it will still be there in the saved game. Harr
