Yup i agree Marshall. I have always wanted to come up against an opponent whom i know nothing about. It is very easy at present to know exactly what your opponent has installed on his ships and a simple removing of this knowledge (or making it so a spy on a spaceport could possibly uncover the plans for 'X' ship) would be more advantageous than moving ships all over the map. I am not fond of that idea at all and although i like the idea of the war button i would prefer some different approach to

I too would like to see a better 'deal' for paying off a lease early as you would get in RL. Cari may i make a small suggestion to help counter sneak attacks! My idea is to bring in a new class or 'bolt-on' for a ship that would allow a planet to produce mine fields. These mine fields would act like a barrier around a planet and stop, or at least reduce, sneak attacks from being made. Another option would be to add a new class of ship that would 'orbit' its production planet and act like a defence platform. These platforms could contain offensive and defensive modules but no engine

One issue i have with the new events section only happens when you have had a few events in the game. Once you get past a certain number the bar that shows you what each one is becomes unreadable. It appears as though the bar is in the wrong location as there is clearly a space for it at the bottom of the screen but it sits 2/3 of the way down. I can confirm this. In my game the screenshots taken do not appear at all. The folder 'Screenshots' is not even made by the game. I did a thorough check on my hard disk and the game has not written the image to anywhere else either.

Thats why they release Beta updates, got to expect a few crashes etc. Kindly send all details of CTD's etc to the bugs email address as your reporting it could enable them to fix it for the next beta.

Count me in for as many expansion packs as you guys produce

I do build them but only on planets that are right next to an opponents planet. As well as maybe helping to flip the next planet (as long as its an AI) it keeps morale on my own planet up enabling me to make more money out of the happy population. Once my influence on the next planet is sufficiently high i just change the influence building into something more usable.

Its an unusual design for the AI as it seems to be symetrical However the components appear to be normal. Nice to see them actually coming up with decent designs though. Nice find Danielost!

I am hoping the minor races dont get overlooked again in this update. Some months ago in the IRC interview Frogboy hinted at an overhaul for the minors to make them more 'aggressive'. So far we have seen none of this and i do hope this comes to fruition this time around. Waiting hopefully for an update on this by the main Frog or one of his spawn

WOOT Great news! I used my nice discount coupon i got yesterday to pre-order the expansion pack It ended up costing me just short of $20! Great savings and here's looking forward to a great expansion.. Cant wait for the betas
