Amazing news! I have been playing GalCiv2 on my Surface Pro, and I have been wondering when a new version might be coming since Strategy 4x titles mesh so well with touch devices. As I identified on an article I wrote here... http://www.denialesports.com/article/252-Microsoft-Surface--Strategy-Gamers Can't wait to get my hands on the Alpha when its available, and (with Stardock's permissi

Just adding my voice to chorus cheering for GalCiv3. I was actually on my VM with Windows 8 the other day, and considering that the Windows Runtime model is all about immersive experiences... I got a really nice mental image of being able to tap on an object, and see something similar to the context sensitive radial menu in OneNote for the 'right click' options. Anyway, not yet the time in the market to talk about that, but here's hoping&nbs
BTW, do people know for a fact that Visual Studio 2003 won't function on Windows 7 64-bit?
Ya, a lot of our legacy applications need to be fixed because of all the changes between vs2003 and vs2005. So, instead of doing that we built XP VMs....
Nice number, wonder what mine is.
I actually use this fact to my advantage. I'll park ships outside their influence and then rush in with all of my speed for one turn before hitting the breaks with their imposed limit.
ya, one game they had like 90% of the space, and I had to equip ships with 3 or 4 hyperwarp 3 modules so that when I declared war I would have surprise on my side.
usually by then I have maxed out every tile on the planets. My build style needs a little refinement (despite playing since the galciv2 beta)
It does it on both of my vista machines. Just how I know about it. The IT engineer in me shows through.
So far everybody has left out their additional purpose of "neutralizing" agents on your planets to restore a buildings production. (ya, my main purpose for them. A few tech spies though.)
Does it work if you right click on the stardock central icon, and select "run as administrator"? Good tip! I tried that and it is running now, much further along than it was before. I did send an email to support as well but I was hoping the community would have a quick answer. Thanks
Any time.
I like many episodes, first great that comes to my mind is in Voyager, when doctor was brought to trial on one planet about 600 years in the future. They showed evil warship Voyager with very powerful weaponry, they were bombarding their planet with some nasty toxins or something. What I liked the most: Voyager crew had black leather gloves! <img id="ImageResize_Image_6" onload="ImageResizer.createOn(this);" src="http://images.stardock.com/smiles/BigSmile.gif" align="
How can you not like a show with characters like Seven-of-Nine? The holographic doctor was also a hoot! Seriously, the show was able to break free of many of the conventions forced on the other series because they were away from Federation space and no longer constricted by Starfleet regulations. Freedom to include all kinds of character flaws (which makes them interesting). Since the crew couldn't just be replaced with a more "fit" crew member they are forced to deal with each o
Well, I am going to be the one who stands up, and says it. I liked Star Trek: Voyager. Honestly, they had just been continuing on with the being in hailing range of a ship less than a day away if you got into serious trouble. Deep Space Nine was a vast improvement because instead of making lives better or worse, and then living the next episode. It was really more of a (forgive the terminology) don't shit where you sleep concept. Not everyone was happy with the choices, and it
I think the goal he is aiming for is an even more accurate star trek mod since the series doesn't have anything that shrinks ship parts. Well besides that one episode of DS:9.....
oh definatley go with the BBC TV version or the book. If you want help with the forum or an installer. I did the installers for airsnare and the forums for smashpvp.com. Here are links. http://www.download.com/3000-2092_4-10255195.html http://www.smashpvp.com/ I have other skins for that forum. I also have access to many enterprise level resources.
technically that one is led by half of the group that was doing terranors. so its essentialy the same thing. And i was the guy who managed website so i know that.

If i recall correctly, Stardock allows you to install the software on any computers you own and only one computer will be running the program at any time.
specializing is ok, but you want to have redundancy. E.G. if an enemy takes away your factory/manufactoring planet, you will lose the ability to roll out ships fast from that planet, and then they can use the same thing against you. I prefer to balance them, that way if i lose one, not everything collapses into chaos.
Step 1. Disconnect said computer from internet Step 2. Uninstall norton (that stuff should be illegal) Step 3. Go to local college or computer geek and get them to burn you a CD with A. AVG Anti-Virus (free is fine) and Ewido Anti-Spyware (also free) http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 B. Ad-Aware personal (free is just fine) http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ Run all 3 utilities and you will have a very clean computer. not just the installers, t

wait a minute, you get to chose how much damage it does? no, to many people would have it deal like 9999999999999 damage in one hit. if you want to write a mod for your own games, thats your choice.

here is a brief quoite from the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglus Adams in response to the original poster and the idea that he should be in advertising.... I quote. " The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes," [...] Curiously enough, an edition of the Encyclopaedia Galactica that had the good fortune to fall t
