After a game restart (all the way from the desktop) I renamed my surveyer ship to 'enterprize". Then I told it to move one tile to the right (if the direction matters). The picture of the ship stayed where it was and the selection circle and description text moved with it. I told the ship to move again (again to the right). The ship's picture stayed where it was, the selection circle stayed where the first move left it, and the description text moved to the new location.
