You are right, I have never thought about checking in their stats directly but its there. They seem to have Native toxic world colonization.
Maybe after polluting the earth for centuries it became a toxic wold itself and humans adapted to it. 
On a side note, they also have aquatic colonization bonus. And once again it does not seem that they have the tech. Yet I cannot trade it to them. Strange.
