Hello
I play GC2: Dark Avatar on a virtual machine (Windows XP). I had been playing a free play game on and off for the last couple of months. The game overall runs very well, and only seems to crash when I do something that overwhelms the memory, such as pullings ships out of a 25 ship fleet one by one too rapidly. What I have noticed, if I play/run the game for long enough, after making some commands, parts of the screen start to flutter, with pixels seeming to slide out of place (back & forth), mostly around the edges. The screen is still quite visible, and it mostly seems to affect the text, but it's annoying and distracting enough that I usually quit and restart the game. Lately, it seems to be occurring more rapidly, so that every few turns, it goes nuts. I thought it might have something to do with where the game is at now. Because it's in custom free play, I chose the biggest map with the most planets I could cram in there. When I started, it took a while for the bug to hit, or it wouldn't hit at all. With my in-game empire now having more than 450 starships, and the other CPU ones being in the hundreds, and with at least 650 inhabited planets on the map, maybe its too visually overwhelming for the software. There's probably almost 800-1,000 ships on the map.
Anyone encounter this as well? I've looked around, but can't find anything that fits the bill. Maybe too specific.
Thanks,
Marcos
