Today marks 18 year's of my lovely dad, he is loved by all his children all 8 of us , and his grand and Great Grand children. if he and my mum had been alive today they would have close to 50 odd Grand children and Great children, mum and dad were married in 1942 and they had their fair share of ups and downs just like all of us. sadly tho on the 20th April 1997 dad passed away from lung cancer and he has left a huge hole that no one can ever fill again, i miss you so much dad. I have done this tribute to him. I got to go now can't see the key board

Anniversary days and holidays near them or special to the departed are especially hard... maybe trying to celebrate his life and love by doing something special... that he enjoyed doing, and deriving joy from it might help. He'd have loved that, and you can derive joy from knowing that as well. Good thoughts going your way, bonzette. He'd not like knowing his little girl was crying. [e digicons]:karma:[/e]
Huggles!
Remembering is not always the easiest thing we do, especially when it involves loved ones and feelings for them. What it does provide thought for though is the capability for others to know them. Keep the scrapbooks and mementos handy and add to the pictures each anniversary, the grand and great grand children will appreciate knowing where their family has been, is and are going.
Awwww...
He loved a beer, and he liked to listen to good 'ol Slim Dusty and Tex Morton, just to name a few and he always marched in the Anzac march for both dawn and morning service. He was a cook in the air force and I guess that is here my love for cooking came from. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family and friends . I am going to light a candle and have his picture's beside it and then maybe I will have some of these or more we will see how I go cos I am not a huge drinker of beer
and thank you doc,LizMarr, Uvah, Philly, and RnD. your thoughts and words mean a lot to me
