This all debate just buffles me. judging by the quality of the missions on this campaign, it is fairly obvious blizzard seperated the game into 3 parts not because they wanted to milk the fan base, but because the terran campaign itself equals and surpass in length and production values all of the former sc1 campaigns and most other similiar games in the market, while succeding to provide a much better game than most of them, especially Dow2 single player, as bland repetetive and awfully scripted missions should not even count as a time worthy exprience.
Dow2 vanilla is pure MP, the single player mode is just crap. enjoyable for exactly 3 hours, which is very disapointing as i would have hoped to imagine relic have learned from their past exprience with Dow1, which in the vanilla form offered an Ok single player campaign but nothing more. the only reason DoW1 is being praised, is its slightly innovative mechanics and great expansions.
Blizzard showed again, to much of the dismay of the internet, why they are considered to be the creator of the best gaming exprience around. while not being as innovative as other companys, they still provide the most polished, highly detailed and all around well thought out games in the market, needless to say, that while it is pretty subjectivley, they are the most enjoyable as well. and while i prefer rise of nations/legends, company of heroes and men of war over starcraft, i can aknowledge that for the majority, Sc2 is much more enjoyable.
As for pirates trying to sell maps from the galaxy editor, this is hardly an option. the only way to earn money from your maps is via blizzard distrubition system, and blizzard takes revenues from that as they keep the rights to any creation made from the galaxy editor. if you are dumb enough to try and sell the map by your self outside of blizzard's system, even if you bought a legit copy, be sure you will get sued.
