No. Like you said, these are the most crash-ridden forums on the World Wide Web. It just went BOOM! for me on my last response, and I wouldn't be surprised if it does it with this one as well.
It's not even consistent as to whether the post will finally show up or be lost in limbo.
I usually wait about an hour before I try to repeat a response, because sometimes it does show up after that long.
It seems that there are so many different sites linked, that use so many different code bases, that nothing seems to work just right. And the excuse for not fixing it seems to be, just that. Too many sites that use different languages and nobody knows how to get everything to work together, and they are unwilling to rewrite everything to make everything compatible.
I understand the time and cost issues. The main question I have is...
Why the HELL!!! did they even start setting it up this way in the FIRST place???????????? One would think that, with the first couple linked sites, they would have standardized. Instead, they simply left it bastardized.
Now they have dug themselves in so deep they'll never get out, and we just have to put up with gaudawful buggy forums for the rest of time.
