Hi
Somone told me a while ago, a formulae to determine AI targetting priority to anticipate which ship in my fleet will be targeted first. But i do not want to go to that extreme, i just want a general rule of thumb when designing companion ships.... Companion ships being vessels that make use of unused logistics in a fleet where i have a powerful ship, so i do not want the companion ships to cop any targeting priority from the enemy?
Can i look at the percentage of space used for weapons? as long as the companion ship uses lesser percentage of space for the same weapon strength, will that work? Does shielding affect AI targetting priority?
Should i use tiny medium or large hulls, any advice?
Usually i just use antiquated old ships as companion vessels, their old weaponry usually ensures they are never targeted, but the speed is less, so i want to upgrade them, but then there is the danger of copping targeting priority which i want to avoid!
