Therefore, I am intentionally derailing this thread to try and goad some sort of response from Brad. If that causes a ramification to the functionality of my user ID on this forum, so be it.
It's not the ramifications to your user ID that I'm worried about.
You have every right to take whatever action you see fit as long as it's only you that will have to deal with the consequences. Again I personally don't think that being confrontational is the best way to get what you want but if I thought that the only potential negative consequence would be yours to bear then I would never have stuck my nose into it in the first place.
However I can envision consequences that could affect far more than just yourself and if you grant that such a possibility exists then I maintain that you don't have the unilateral right to potentially jeopardize the future use and enjoyment of the metaverse by myself and many others for whom you do not speak.
Let me explain myself. I understand and in fact sympathize with what you’re trying to accomplish and in fact have no wish to come off as lecturing or telling you what to do. But face it, we all know that the metaverse is not Brad’s most favorite topic and for all I or you know all it would take for him to become totally sick of the entire mess and kill it off entirely would be to hear yet more complaining about it. I feel that is a risk that you’re taking on yourself to make and it’s a risk not just to yourself but to everyone that enjoys the metaverse. You don’t have the right to do that.
The complaints about ToA fixes are of less direct impact to myself but still have potential impact to others.
The thing is that as far as I can tell SD is under no obligation to do any of the things that you’re “demanding”. Even so, if history is any guide then I am sure that all of your concerns *will* be addressed, although perhaps just not as soon as you would like. Again as far as I can tell game updates and the metaverse are free services that SD supplies, I certainly don’t recall paying for either. When someone gives you something for free then I think your first priority is to be thankful and although I feel it’s perfectly fine to *request* or *suggest* changes, fixes and updates, I see nothing that justifies making confrontational *demands* for action.
I hope you see my point and at least understand where I’m coming from.
