1. The game occassionally crashes at the autosave.

2. The gun technologies researched after the nano ripper are not available for my ship designs.

3. The game often freezes after a ship to ship attack - especially when the doom ray is used.  I can use the cursor and go to any screen but can not move any ships or proceed to the next turn.  Using the battle screen for all combat solves this problem; unfortunately, the game does not go to this mode every time when a single ships engage even though the game has been set this condition.

I have the latest download (1.53) which improved the gameplay from nearly impossible to annoying.

I am wondering if and when the next patch is coming and any other ideas that may help.
