The AVp mod comes to TA.

That 350Mbs zip file was corrupted, possibly from the FileFront feed.

So, here goes 10 Minutes down the drain worth of D/L bandwidth.

I see what you mean now deleted it re uploading it now it was the zip compress software I used.its fixed try it now.

Alright, let's try this again shall we. Hopefully the newly zipped file will de-archived properly once i'm through with the D/L precious "time"! I'll let you know if all goes well.

 

EDIT; All it took was 8 minutes today & the file is now Okay. Looking forward to try this all out... Nice TechGrid background - it's the very same image which i used for a Sci-Fi minor race in CoSH along with partly finished valid techtrees for all Majors!

EDIT2; Nice excerpts from Films (Maybe FOX -- the giant Movie Corporation -- won't sue you for using their copyrighted stuff!), you should get rid of the thumbs.db extra files as we don't have any use for these in a GC2 mod. I doubt the provided raceconfig da.xml will load, but i'll test it further.

ive been doing this for years now if they where going to sue me they would have by now but any way enjoy are there any request for other mods I have lots.oh to get the da raceconfig to work just delete the da part and it should work fine.

I'll be real honest with you buddy...

220Mbs of Movies + 80Mbs of MP3 makes it for a thin mod (by my definition)... although the general context has been altered to immerse the player in the AVP situations - that's a given.

But when it comes down to giving us more "alterations" to the gameplay itself, there's nothing in there that modifies other stuff than some usual Race(s) Images & Logos. That's only me though -- as when i need to watch Action flicks i simply pull out what i want from a stash of DVDs or, when i urge to listen to some favorite Rock'n'Roll songs from a HiFi system that drives 125+ PowerWatts through a set of 4 customized giga woofer speakers i simply crank up the volume from CD quality recordings.

Sorry if the above sounded a bit critical... but, if i needed to do a better job with the CoSH techtrees so should you consider giving us more MBs (somehow, of gaming value) for our bang.

 

From anyone else's perspective - this might, indeed,  be an excellent mod.

yes I understand I made this awhile ago so its not perfect but my other mods will include lots lots lots more stuff that changes the game from techs to new planet improvements trade goods new interface things like that.may include techtress with the ship pack.

Now...  THAT's what i'd like to see (play with!) from you. There's soooo much customizable stuff in such a game that it's almost silly to limit ourselves to graphics.

Simply putting a 5000 cost to ExtremeColonization instead of 1000 gives a whole new meaning to gameplay, etc, etc. The trick is to find the "right" balance to enhance the experience.
