When the game begins all my basic ships have a sensor range of 3 parsec or let us say 4 parsec, so wouldn’t my home planet along with any other planets I place a colony have a sensor range of 4 parsec just like my basic ships.

If the statement above is true then the asteroid mining bases that I build would have the same sensor range of 4 parsec just like my basic ships, colonized plants, and starbases.
