Is there a way to hide AI info?

I only recently started playing TA and I've noticed that I get information on what other races are building, how long it will take, what they are researching, their ships are seen on the map...pretty much everything about them and every move they make is available for me to see without one of my own ships nearby to observe, without even a dime being spent on espoinage,  and frankly its just too easy this way. I've blind exploration on, not sure if its related or not, but is there anyway to hide all this info unless I've got spies or ships nearby to observe this? The information is displayed through the planets list section of the control panel.

F1 planet list has been bugged in this way as long as I can remember-blind exploration on/off has no effect whatsoever on it.

I don't really have any suggestions for you, but it's important to note that just because the list shows an AI doing something it doesn't necessarily mean that's what they're doing.  They like to start building one ship (which will show on the planet list screen) and then rush buy a completely different design, for instance.  Admittedly they do this less with improvements, but it's still evident as well.

What about being able to see resource starbased built by a race you already encountered even though its in the FOW? I can see those on the main map
