You'd need to basicly alter the entire set of UV-Texturing files (found in the GFX\Models folder) for anything splashed up on those ships.
Such things as S4_Huge_3_L.png for the Korath style (i believe that's the orangy artifacts you were refering to, right?) in DA or even, the 1024's versions in TA.
Get your drawing gear at the ready, cuz you're in for some alpha channel blending precisions too. Since, the bluey dropzoning effect files DO take a bit of good software handling & patience.

There's also the fact that the basic (two-color_trim_hull_schema) layers can be optioned in by un-ticking the textures slot, too... which could indirectly pull these right off.
