anal (plz excuse the terminology), but what the hey...
the 'grouped' techs (ie something - I, II, III etc)...
usually, almost always, they are grouped ina single box, but sometimes and I believe erroneously they are shown as seperate consecutive techs, which means they do not 'line up' neatly against the branches above or below, especially noticeable for the weapon tech branches, which is where I think I saw this. sorry, forget which race so you would have to check thru all the files, but you probably have a neato little gizmo tool or something that just lets you pop them up, and I do not - so going off memory I would have to go back and start new games to try and find it again.
