map editor for Twilight?

Well I made a nice little sandbox for me. OK , how do I bring it up? I copied it into the custom map dir in twilight, no go. In fact no scenarios, no maps and I am unable to even make a custom race. Am I just not getting something?

BTW good job Stardock, its not crashing as much but those invisible ships are killing me. Oh and how are my enemies (on challenging) getting their hands on Doom rays, nightmare torpedoes and Black hole generators in the early middle game?

gotta put this game down and accomplish something LOL

There was mention of the custom maps not getting enabled in TA yet. It should be rectified in the next update, but if you want to see them in game you can put them in the custom maps directory for DA and load them up with it.

Yep. Works like a charm. Nice way to get a bit of a leg up on learning the ins and outs of the editor. It is fairly intuitive, but there are a few quirks that you may not notice until you put your map into a game. The first time I tried it, I (to my surprise), started with six Influence resources on my tiny map. Snagged 'em all. My first cup of Monday morning coffee never spread across my keyboard as fast as my influence did across that galaxy.

Hmmm.... I tried that but it crashed. Maybe because I built 3 star systems which were pre-owed by terra, torian and Dregrin. Try, try again.

I had one of my first maps crash DA due to me trying to designate custom race homeworlds, when i fact the custom races are still disabled lol. I realized the mistake when I opened the map back up in the editor and it had place the same race with two homeworlds.

The random generator does love to pile the resources on a map

I would say it was that you had one race with 2 home worlds!!???

I have my custom map with custom race open OK .... but it is a map I already had too!!??? which does crash the New Editor.

I think i`ll play a little more with the map editor !!!

DeathAdder when you open the map were you playing as a custom race or one of the other races ???

I actually never got that far. When I chose the map in the galaxy setup of DA and hit next it would crash immediately. It didn't have what custom was designated in the editor when I saved it, but when I reopened it, it had both homeworlds as the same race. That's what had to of screwed it up. Just not really sure how that happened, but it was an early attempt and I have since successfully loaded my maps.
