Hello-
If you have read some of my other recent posts you've seen I've run into several problems as of late. I've tried to reload to last stable save and try different methods, however, I've come to the conclusion that I either run into the....
- Nonfuctional turn button, sometimes will work a few turns upon reload but, then just starts to become constant.
- Stuck on ships, when attacking pirates, or your enemy the game tends to freeze on your ships (sometimes you can after clicking several times on a planet or another fleet can get the game to move to that, however, when your done with that it goes back to frozen up on the origional fleet. This seems to happen more frequently when attacking enemy ships that are stacked vs. alone in space.
- The out of memory error, I haven't run across this before, but last night after the stuck on ship error, I tried to save the game and reload but, upon saving I recieved the out of memory error, the game was still in play however when I went back into the game from windows the game moved extremely slow, 1 letter at a time on the bottom in-game display about one per second would reappear.
- Crash to Desktop, For me this has only happened far and in between and was not a direct concern of mine last night for the only time I expierenced this was after jumping out to windows and clicking back to game. I have had the CTD occationally through this build, however, it is always after I have went to windows and back successfully played a few turns and then for no apparent reason CTD. I just always figured it had something to do with the game minimizing and then going back to it.
Other than that list of larger issues that I have run into a few smaller still unresolved issues, hopefully are fixed for new 3C build.
- Disappearing ships, seems to happen well into a game, if you haven't expierenced it before play a larger game for an hour or two, mainly seems to happen on colony ships and constructors for me.
- High Level Techs out of place, This has been fixed according to the post and according to my e-mail, Thanks to resolve this issue I know the main complaints were engine and weapon techs, Others that I noticed were the terraforming, and government techs seemed to be a little early as well, terraforming was the Korath, government though i think was another empire.
- Get empty planets, With the new tech structure, when you recieve a large number of Alien planets the majority of the planets are unusable right away. They have a population but, very little structures, one must most of the time rebuild all but a few tiles from scratch.
- Displaying wrong ships in orbit, Once I traded for other Alien ships and put them in orbit, The show ships in orbit box in the bottom of the screen when you select the planet shows equivalent Terran ships, instead of the real ship in orbit. Once you launch the ship It displays correctly on the screen of the correct alien ship.
