I don't know about anyone else, but I love the fact that I have the freedom in GalcivII to create my own races. It's one of my favourite parts of the game. But I wouldn't mind seeing some improovements made to it.

Here's some of my ideas:

- add a system for creating the "noun" and "verb" of your race. Right now all the foregn races identify you as just your empire name, rather than species like they can for eachother. I remember that the old Alpha Centauri did this well.

- add a system for creating your home system. When you use a custom race right now, all you get is a random set of planets with your system name followed by I, II, III, IV etc. I'd love to be able to specify the types of planets, their names, and the type and name of the star they orbit.

- Please add more government types and race abilities. This would let custom races be well... more customized and different from the pack in races.

- And my most urgent request, please make it easier to create custom ship styles. I've been working at it for months and still have yet to make one work properly.
