The new option to remove textures not being used is a great idea. I could really use it as my system is often running several dev enviroments for games, web sites, etc while I am playing. GalCiv is the only 4x game ever created that can max out all my processors, all my RAM, and my video cards. I find it rather annoying to have a pause before every battle sequence however, especially when fighting an on going war where attacks occur frequently.
Can the option be improved to wait a certain number of turns and only remove the texutures if no battles have occurred, or better yet, be set so that the game does not remove battle textures but does remove all other unused ones? This will give us what we need, which is essientially garbage collection that should happen anyway while not removing texutres that are in reality in use even if they won't be needed for a few seconds in between battles.
