No Weapon Escorts / Stacked Ship Movement

Playing latest beta build and noticed that the Talxerxians, my custom race I've been playing against, have started building escorts without weapons. They are parked out in space, perhaps as some sort of diversion; however it appears to me to be a bug.

Also, when attacking said ships I flew a fleet over and destroyed their fleet. Then I broke my fleet down and attacked ship to ship for the unarmed and unfleeted escorts. Ater attacking a few times, I noticed that all 3 of my ships no longer in a fleet had used their movement points for the one ship's attack! That certainly isn't correct.

You mean toop transports rite?

Yes if they are dispatched by the AI to invade a planet and that planet is taken, or even taken by another race or re-garrisoned, then the transports orders are cancelled so they just sit dead in space. They will move when the AI finds another suitable planet to invade.

I have often noticed movement points vanishing in relation to fleeting/unfleeting ships. The results seem variable?

Actually, I am referring to the escorts. Small hull escorts with no weapons or specialized modules (troop transport, etc).

The movement points are for my fleet of attacking medium hull cruisers. These ships flew in as a fleet, then disbanded said fleet in order to attack unfleeted enemy ships efficiantly. However, all three ships seem to have used their movement points when a single unfleeted ship attacked.

I dunno then about the escorts.

As for movement points dissapearing, all i can say is that on occasion i do find myself saying "what the fxxx" as a result of movement points dissapearing. I cannot quite put my finger on the exact reasons, they seem to vary.

One thing i do know is that when selecting a ship in a stack of ships, first i deselect any multiple selections and then i always click several times on the ship i actually want just to make sure nothing funny happens
