15 Trillion controlling 275+ planets
15,000 / ~300 = 50B per planet average.
That is pretty amazing. Clearly this is from the days of v1.2. I don't think anything like this has been seen in well over a year.
The best I remember seeing was a game by Magnumanic with 18T but he had close to 500 planets for a 36B per planet average.
A really good planet with several yellow farm bonuses ans a couple of morale bonuses could end up with a population approaching 200b. Remember that population over 25b incur no further morale penalty.
Yes. Once past 25B there is no further penalty but even so the max pop that any planet can achieve by growth is 100B for PQ17 and above. I suppose you could possibly bus pop in to get any arbitrary amount, but even growing to 100B took forever.
The last 100B planet I saw was one done by DethAdder in V1.31 after major nerfage of morale buildings but before the morale bonus was removed from the stockmarket. Even then it was a major pain and it was just one of those "because it was there" kind of things. I doubt I've seen a planet over 20B in over a year. With the additional morale nerfage in DA it's not worth it to go above 13B.
Oh well. Those were the days. Nowadays the only place you can use a 300% food bonus tile is on a PQ8 where your pop is limited to about 14.7B anyway or if your playing DL perhaps a PQ9 with it's 20B limit.
