I think I am running into the same error. When I press the turn button, it permanently disappears. It is similar to what it does when the computer is thinking, but the turn button stays gone. I can access all of the menues, and I can launch ships from planets, but if I attempt to move a ship, I get the message the game gives when a ship is out of life support range. I have reloaded previous auto-saves, but when I reach the turn where the error occured, it always happens again. It is impossible to progress beyond that point in the game that I am playing. It only happened after I installed DA 1.7 beta 2. (I had been playing frequently with DA 1.7 beta 1; this error never occurred on that version.)
Edit: After repeatedly reloading my auto-save data, I WAS able to progress beyond the point in the game where the error occured.
Until the problem is fixed,(probably in the next update) try the following things:
1. Load your latest save file.
2. Save right before the turn when the error happens.
3. Press the turn button. If the error reoccurs, reload and try repeatedly.
To minimize the damage this error can cause, increase the auto-save frequency (In the options menu).
If you are reading this and do not have DA 1.7 beta 2, I suggest that you wait for the next update. I do not know if my process will work for anyone else.
