Why do I suddenly have 0 Logistics?

Hi guys, am in the middle of a game and tried to make a new fleet. The screen said I didn't have enough logistics points (which was bogus since I had Expert Logisitcs and was only combining two transports) so I look and noticed that I had 0 logistics points. I had like 30 a few minutes before...and now they are all gone and I can't make any fleets! I clicked on some other races and saw that their fleets are listed as having 0 logistics points too.

My only thought is that a few turns before an event happened where the Altarans found a precourser technology that was supposed to make them supreme eventually....was this the effect? To make everyone else have no logistic capability?

Otherwise I'm thinking that its a bug of some kind.

-My pre-exisiting fleets still funtction, I just can't make any new ones. Any advice is appreciated.

I had a similair problem after a plague event. Except I lost ALL my ability points. (So did the AIs)

This made the game unplayable because I was losing 2-3k per turn and had to dial taxes and spending down. After decommisioning about 50 ships, I got enough money to run a turn of full research. It would have taken 2 turns to get the cure, however I didn't bother finishing it to see if the bug would be fixed. (Would have had to decommision a lot to run that second turn...)

What made me realize I lost all abilities, was that logistics = 0.
When I looked on the foriegn stats, and my stats, I saw that no-one had any bonuses.

Needless to say I had a save from before the plague...

I believe this is an intended effect from getting the plague mega event. Researching the cure brings you back to normal. I also noticed that my specially designed ships were no longer available, and that your sodiering goes down to 0 as well. Very important to research the cure. If you don't like the mega events, you can turn them off when you create your game.

I had this problem and it never went away. It was pretty damn annoying. The other races had fleets though, it was only effecting me. I didn't think to check my other abilities.

Thanks guys, I just checked and sure enough a diseases is affecting my planets. I wanted Mega Events, I just wasn't expecting this....I was waiting for pirate ships or something. I guess I just didn't read the event text well enough to know what was going on. Thanks!

I also noticed that I suddenly had 0 logistics and attributed it to a recent plague event as others suggested. When I looked at my existing fleets, they would show things like 37/0 logistics, but they seemed to remain fleets. After researching the cure I got my logistics abilities back, but when I selected my fleets they were empty. There was a symbol for the fleet, but I couldn't do anything with it... ghost ships!

Anyway, I lost my entire military fleet except for a few singletons here and there. Thankfully this seemed to happen to the AI opponents as well.

Hi, same thing happened to me and it is because of a plague running across the galaxy.
I lost my logistic points and my miniaturization abilities (maybe more).
All my custom ships where unavailable.
The only thing to do is to research the cure tech. Everything will be back to normal.

I don't think this is the intended effect of the plague. I've had it happen where it just killed people. (and that seems about right)

I think this is a bug. For me to have recovered I would have had to disband most of my ships, and possibly some planetary improvements. I don't think the AIs could possibly handle this.

Why would a plague cause you to lose all your bonuses?

There are two similar events, Plague, and Disease. One reduces everyone's abilities, the other kills population.
