Just wondering how smart the Dreadlords AI is in DA?

I keep noticing the same fatal flaw in the Dreadlords AI in DL.... They seem to ignore whats going on right in front of them so they can rush past and get killed attacking my territory.

Recently i decided to try the DL mission 'apocolypse' on masochistic level. It was fun right up until my allies started getting strong. Then my allies started invading Dreadlords territory and taking their worlds. I was wondering how the hell they can do this while the Dreadlords are still so strong?? So i sent a scout over to see what was happening and i could hardly believe my eyes.... There was a big parade of dreadlord ships flowing around the AI invading fleets like a river flows around rocks - all Dreadlord ships ignoring the invaders because their all too busy heading for my territory to be destroyed.

Why the hell carn't the Dreadlord AI respond to invading fleets?

Does it do this same stupid thing in DA?
