Loving the game and really enjoying the features of the custom races and opponents. Still tweaking around to come up with interesting ones.
But I was also looking through some of the other modding possibilities and have a couple questions.
The biggest one is for Technology, you can only have one pre-req tech, correct? I was hoping to adjust the tech tree a little and make it a little more branching, but that doesn't seem to be much of an option.
For example, I wanted to make the egine techs also dependent on the powerstation line. In order to get Impulse Drive, you need the previous engine tech and Fusion Power Plants. Then for Warp Drive, you need the basic Impulse Drive tech and Anti-Matter Power Plants.
That way you have a choice, do I continue developing Impluse engines, or make the jump to Warp Drive?
As for the other things, for starting races (both minor and major), star systems and ships they start with are set and can't really be changed? To me there would be a nice twist if a minor race could start with 2 colony ships and have a little expansion right at the start, but since they can't build colony ships, no more.
And I would love to play around with the sizes of the default planets, but I have read that they are fixed?
