How do you delet custom races?

I made a custom race and want to get rid of it.

I created a semi custom race by playing as the Thalans, picking my options, and renaming the species "Formic Collective." Is there a way to delete it? I don't see a delete button on any screen within the game and I can't find a file to delete or modify in Windows.

When customizing a race, click the Load button. You can select and delete races in the race load dialog.

You can also delete the files directly. Depending on if you're playing DL or DA, it would be My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\Formian Collective.raceconfig or My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\Formian Collective.customracexml.

I played a game last night in which the computer randomly selected to use two of my previous custom races as computer-controlled factions. Apart from deleting the custom races (which I have no qualms about anyways), is there a way to force the computer to only select the original factions for the npc players?

Only if you choose them manually. Any existing race definitions are fair game for random selection.

Ah, I see, thanks.
Well, that's interesting...unexpected, but still pretty interesting...and a neat idea. Needless to say I was a little shocked to find myself being contacted by Kain from the Brotherhood of Nod.
