Well I don't know if I suck or what but ever since I started playing with a couple of the races on the difficulty level of Intelligent or above I keep losing. The worse part is I start off well and enter mid-game strong (though not going into debt is always a problem) but late into the game things just fall apart. The computer usually is way ahead of me either militarily or technologically and I can't overcome it. Their fleets cream me and they do adapt and learn if I change tactics. Of course this is a good thing and makes for challenge. Mainly it seems the computer gets ahead by having lots of research on their planets but running a big planet deficit - yet oddly enough their overall income level is always pretty decent. Bah!
