Looks like the drivers did not actually get installed--the date is still the same as before.

I know you like patch 1.2 over 1.3, but you should try with 1.4 for the bug fixes.

Since it looks like you're not playing on the metaverse anymore, you can get the best of both worlds. Just make a backup copy of the data folder before you patch, then swap it back in afterwards. That way you can play with the 1.4 bug fixes and the 1.2 morale/farm/etc values.

I'm just curious to ask... how would i go about returning to 1.3 or 1.2 when i did not make the backup copy before installing 1.4?

I'm not sure but i think i remember starbase defences being better in the earlier version.

Also the fleet advantage seems to have been stupidized (not a word i know) in 1.4 - when it comes to high end weapons, one lone 90% dead AI frigate will kill a powerful dreadnaught in a fleet of 10 ships, yet use one lone dreadnaught to attack, and you win. This is a seriously idiotic querk that spoils the realism and enjoyment of the game.
