How do you get promoted on the forum?

How do you get to higher positions on the forum and does it open any extra content?
For example, Drengin:(from beta forum) he is ambassader. Does it make difference?
Do you have extra content?

I read the legend on the metaverse and could someone explain the differance between exile and avatar, and everyone in between?

Exile is banned from visiting the site. Utter trolls and all under 13s get this.

Visitor is banned from posting. Practically everyone who's taken a few swipes at people will, at some stage, end up timing out as a visitor.

Citizen is regular.

Veteran is a poster who is helpful in the community and the Devs like.

Diplomat + generally have been around a long while, participated actively in beta's and the community. Drengin runs an affilate site.

Avatar is someone who works at Stardock.

The first rule of being promoted is you do not talk about being promoted.

The second rule of being promoted is YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT BEING PROMOTED.

At least, I've never, ever seen anyone who asked about being promoted ever get promoted.

And yes, there is a forum for those who are diplomat and higher, where they laugh at us non diplomats, discuss in game decisions, and sip champagne.

By not asking  
Providing useful information to other players w/ out flaming.
Being a modder helps, but not required.
Beta test. Alot.
Time

One thing that dosen't seem to hold a lot of sway is how well you play the game.

Drengin (and all the other names he goes by) has been at this game for years. He runs a website that supports the game. Has done a bunch of modding in GC I and II. Heck he is even listed in the credits of GC II.

Not very far from the truth i'm sure! I hear that they even have more features in their copy of the game than we do, things like multiplayer, carriers, tactical combat and all the other things we beg for!

Get your "brother" off the comp.

Although that's true, some of them have been playing the DA alpha now.
And btw, just because you want all that crap, doesn't mean the developers do, hence it not happening

What are you talking about? It's a beta and I don't really see him demanding a whole lot of crap. Then again I haven't browsed all his posts.
