I have a couple of observations on the beta so far that i would like to see improved slightly if at all possible: -

1. The green icon next to the planet name (shows orange before you fully research the tech) does not appear to have its own tooltip. Maybe for continuity sake this should have a tooltip that reads 'Production now at 100%'.

2. Once you fully research one of the specialist planet techs (by this i mean the second research project for a given improvement) it would be nice for the GNN, or the screen drop boxes, to provide you a list of your colonised planets that are now operating at 100% production. At present i find myself not developing these planets straight away due to the 50% production and it would be nice to have the above rather than writing the names down on paper.

These are just personal wishes though

I agree with both of these suggestions.

Also, for consistency sake... Earth-like planets (ie: inhabitable by all) should also have their own (green) icon next to them. This would make it clearer whether or not a planet could be colonized at a glance.

I agree with having icons for planets habitable by all... While I don't like the idea of cluttering up the planets with more icons, it is really nice to see at a glance which planets you can colonize and which you can't without having to run your cursor over each.

BTW, I LOVE SPECIAL PLANET TYPES! It's a great addition to the game.
