Something I like to see changed in DA badly

During the IA's turn, when MY ships move plz let them move all at once.

if your playing a huge map, having 100 planets and all those planets are creating ships and move them to 1 spot, having 50+ ships to move 30 steps every turn is a pain to wait on. plz plz plz can it made so that my ships, just like the IA's ships, move all at the same time and not one by one.

If you zoom in to where you can't actually see them moving, then they move instantly

With all due respect, I think the first two responses are totally missing the OP's point. Well, if Cartier109 is right, then I need to take that part back. Are you positive about that, Cartier? Could you explain what you mean by zooming in all the way so that you can't see ships, please? Even when I can't see any of my ships, the central box at the bottom of the screen ticks off the move of each ship, one by one. Needless to say, I've had the exact same problem as OP and haven't found a solution. It can take a tremendously long time for 100 ships to go through their 55+ moves.

If Cartier is mistaken, then I'm totally behind the call for an option to have all auto-pilate ships move instantly.

Cartier is correct, the trick is to also make sure you don't have a ship selected when you hit "turn" (or at least, not a ship which will move).

The engine only does things you will "see" 1 by 1, so if you go to maximum zoom and can avoid having each moving ship selected (I think there might even be an option to not do that, don't quote me though...) it will be much faster, as there won't be anything to show you (either in terms of moving icons/models, or updated ship status).

One thing to note is that if a ship will at any time be viewed its move will be done "the long way," so make sure you don't zoom in on an area where a lot of your ships will converge that turn as it does the *entire* move, not just the bit you see.

It would still be nice to have an option for them to jump (even if they were done 1-by-1, having them jump and then just calculating whatever you would have seen in terms of new map/planets/etc. when you hit "Turn") would really be nice... orders you give during a turn should be kept the same though.

Yup, huge time-saver for me since I like playing Gigantic maps with all races and I tend to go starbase crazy (tons o' constructors)
