RELEASE- Human Factions Mod Version 2 Beta

The race mod updated.

What if humans were not united when HyperDrive was invented?
Also, are you tired of humans being the only race that have been politically divided?



I have updated the Human Factions Mod and it is in the library pending approval. I've added a lot of new stuff to Version 2 and it contains 6 human major races, 2 thalan major races, 1 robotic major race, and 9 minor races, some of which are human. I've also included a few scenarios, and plan to add more.

Play as:


The USA.


Russia.


Britain.


China.


South Korea.


Japan.


India.


There are also several present-day political parties to choose from.

It is a beta so any bug reports, imbalances and any other comments can be posted here.

I figured that Blair has got to be gone by the time we develop fusion power and hyperdrive.

I have identified some bugs and will take the mod down this evening in order to post the fix.

These bugs are:

-When choosing a race the race's logo doesn't show up on the race customization screen.
-Some of the nations, notably Japan, South Korea, India and China, exceed the limit of ability points.

I've published the fix, which as well as fixing the bugs I found, includes new logos for custom races, these being Australia, Switzerland, Greece, Ireland and South Africa and it also includes anew scenario, proxy war.

Jim1959, I can't fix the problem you're having if you don't tell me what it is.

Sorry, i am not english spoken, i try to explain i can only play your scenarios and i can't play the normal one with your mod.

If i choose one of your scenarios i can choose a civilization to be

If i choose "Normal" the game won't go further and it bugs

Understood my frenglish ?

I remember I had this problem before I finished the mod and it was an error in the xml. Can you please open galciv2\mods\human factions\data\raceconfig.xml in internet explorer or firefox and tell me if there any 'cannot be displayed' messages on the page.

It could also be a language error, as I didn't write this mod with non-english language computers in mind- sorry.

Don't worry, i made such a melting pot with all the mods that it can be me.

That "normal" scenario must be what you used to call sandbox i gueess ?

I've posted a small update tonight to keep up with the ever changing world of politics, replacing Junichiro Koizumi with Shinzo Abe as leader of the Japanese.

You should have McCain or Schwarzenegger for Republican 2008+

Or Hillary or Wesley Clark for the Democratic 2008+ ticket.

I enjoy playing this mod just to kick Bushs but with Russia all day.
