1. use 100% approval to power population growth? If not, is this something that can be implemented? (Since its a *very* powerful tactic.)
2. be tweaked so that it doesn't go for early military supremacy (for the AIs that do that) without quickly getting planetary invasion? Kind of silly for the aggressive AI's to build early ships that can be safely ignored because they don't get invasion. If they got invasion, you'd need to give their early build up more respect. Aggressive AI's should probably also wait a tad longer before starting a buildup.
3. be somehow tweaked so that the AI can do a better job colonizing planets at range? the initial colony rush is fine, but the AI seems to have a problem grabbing those planets that are a bit further out. As it stands at 1.1, AI can be encircled to an extent even on very high levels. Probably more frequent ship design will help, but there might be other fixes. Is a longer range colonizer part of the AI's standard choices or can it be made part of its standard ship sets -- i.e. give the AI the choice of two colonizers for the early tech combos?
4. be adjusted so that it continues researching more (focusing on military tech) when at war? AI spends so much on defensive ships, on troop trans, etc that it gets hopelessly behind in tech.
