Evidently, when vengeance happened, a ship was placed on the same square (in orbit) around two of my planets. This had the interesting side effect of not making my planet available via the map. (I probably could have gone in through the colony screen and, from there, accessed the planet and altered my build queue.) I also didn't have direct access to the ships in orbit around the planet.
The next turn, the enemy ships moved off of the planet and access was restored. Is this intentional, or should there be a check that vengeance fighters are not randomly placed on top of your planets?
Also, there was one other odd thing which I saw but couldn't verify going back to the saved game. After vengeance, I destroyed an influence starbase that was in my territory before vengeance. But once I destroyed it, another was immeidately there. So I destroyed it. And immediately (right after destruction, same turn) the sector had yet another, so I destryoed this. WTF, is this the last of the Babylon stations? Don't know if this is related, and again, on a reload, it didn't happen.
I went through the error log and didn't see anything interesting. (Wish I saved it.) But I do still have the saved game, if interested.
