If anyone has a saved game from the turn (or even up to a few turns before) that this crash happens, please send it to
[email protected]. Please provide as much information you can about what civ it was, what planet, and I can force the game in the debugger to use those settings so that we can get to the bottom of this.
Another thing that would really help too is SmartException reports. SmartException is a free tool that you can download with Stardock Central (in Free Stuff). If you run that while playing Galciv2 and it crashes, SmartException will generate a detailled report that will provide us with the exact location of the crash. In my testing, I haven't had a crash on that event. I've tried all of the assassination events. None of them crashed for me, so there must be something I am missing.
Also, does the game crash immediately after you get the event message and image, or is it after you continue with your turn?
