I read somewhere in this forum there is a mod that deletes technology trading between races, so a race's technologies are only the ones he personnally chose to research.
I noticed in higher difficulty levels, AI will trade each of their techs to other races, sometimes getting 5-8 different techs for one single tech...and because every race does this, every race ends having the same techs. Sure, you can do this yourself, but I think it takes away each race's specialization (drengin are military, terran are diplomatic, etc), and forces you to trade each tech with every race you've encountered to try and keep up with the AI.
So..anyone know where I can find this mod, or tell me how to edit it myself?
