Yeah, yeah, I know, I can stop playing them but they are just so addicting.
In my latest crippling large game, it took me 7 turns to research the +2-speed module. So I could, after only 7 turns, build colony ships with 8 movement.
I saved and stopped playing after half a year. I then had 12 planets. I had met Torians who had 10, Arceans who had 5 and Thalans whom also had 5. The total number of colonised planets are 80 or something and there are 10 races total.
So I know already after half a year that I will have no trouble winning this game.
As usual, the first tech I researched was Sensors 1. I now have a total of 5 survey/scout-ships out in galaxy scouting and finding cash. Which means that even with these 12 planets and masses of stuff that I have bought, I now have 4000bc in reserve, from the 30% total anomalies that I have taken. Am I the only one using this tactic (sensors first and lots of survey ships)?
I would like to see some of the AI:s use that too. As it is now, they completly ignore Sensors 1 even though it's IMO one of the best early techs since it both gives you the Survey module and +1 in sensors.
This is too easy. I will probably start a new game with a custom race since this one won't be any fun much longer. But I have tried it before and I always end up going back to Yor because of their uberness. As I said, I'm addicted to the Yor.
Maybe I will play this one to the end and see if the AI:s really can effectively team up against me in the newest beta.
