The beta's are only available trough Stardock Centeral. I'm sure once the Stardock folks are in the office in the morning, they will get you squared away with your serial number.

I'm a new purchaser and I have noted the same thing. I registered the game, created an account, and validated it (though the email was all but unviewable without highlighting the text). Anyway, when I go to the downloads section I too see Collector content - bonus pack, etc. But no patch.

Any ideas?

Same story here. It appears the Download button for the Retail Update actually (and maybe erroneously) takes one to the Collector's Edition downloads instead of the Retail Update that is should go to.

Why are somne answering about the beta version? This is in regards to the Retail Update listed on the Downloads page.

He was simply saying, and it is true, that there are NO patches available at the Retail Update download selection (neither regular or beta). He was NOT saying he was seeking just the beta patch and didnt see it.

I think it is an error on the webpage and the Retail Update download button has the wrong page link in it. Hopefully they will see and fix that.

In the meantime, you seem to be saying if we wanted to use their SDC we could get the patch that way. I don't want to use it, but thank you for pointing out the option/workaround until they fix the link.

[Edit]: It appears that the Galactic Civilizations II Bonus Pack also updates the game to a more recent (perhaps current) patch level. My copy got updated to v1.0X.2. So perhaps the link isn't in error but instead is simply unclear that we should download that to get the Retail Update (the fact that this "Bonus" download also patches the game version isn't mentioned in the description blurb)..
