I just finished downloading Galactic Civilizations 2, and I must say, it's nice to be back to playing a turn based space strategy game. The last one I played was Ascendancy, and that was ages ago on a pentium 90, I think.
Anyway, here's the kicker. When I try and launch from the start menu, GC2Launcher.exe crashes. There is no window, there is no error log, it just crashes and gives the generic mostly useless Windows error. The module is dxaxhost.dll, if that helps, other than that I don't have much.
However, if I manually select GalCiv2.exe and run it, everything is just fine.
Thoughts?
