I have found a bug related to miniaturization that is very exploitable by players. For example, I can outfit a medium class ship using the bug with more weapons than a large class ship not using the bug.
When you create a design, save it, and then later research miniaturization techs, you can click on upgrade and will get the extra space from miniaturization. HOWEVER, all of the components will also have varying levels of miniaturization as well. For example, a Black Hole Generator takes up 9 spaces on a large ship normally. If saved and then researching more miniaturization tech later, I can upgrade that same ship and the Black Hole Generator only took up 6 spaces! It varies from component to component for some reason, but either way it allows you to cram many many more components on one ship than normal. My latest example being a large ship with 15 class V lasers.
Was this intentional or not? Also, shouldn't miniaturization shrink the components only instead of increasing the hull space? Or was this the only logical way to have miniaturization work on even small components?
