I've been trying to build a research-heavy empire and go for a technology victory, and I noticed something odd: the last few techs on that path have no in-game bonuses, despite having descriptions that sound very useful. It seems to me that "galactic understanding" might provide something like an espionage bonus, "near omniscience" could improve sensor range, and "beyond mortality" might increase population growth. None of those bonuses are overpowering, and it would be nice to have some benefit to being nearly omnicient and immortal during the time my empire is researching tech victory.
