I found a 3DS Max mesh off the web, and I'm attempting to convert it for use as a hull in the game.
After I solved my export problems I came across another problem:
Giant hardpoints appear all over the model before I went through and used dummys to make proper hardpoints. The worst thing is when I attach a weapon or engine to this the item becomes gigantic in correspondance with the size of the hardpoint.
Is there any extra step I should take to remove these properties from the model, or am I missing a step.
Here is what I do:
1) import the mesh.
2) size it up and orient it the proper direction for GC2
3) File/Export as... then export as a .x file with the specs given to me in the post from yesterday.
