A not-so-brief thanks!

I, personally, find it difficult to find anyone to sit down and play these games with me for hours on end. Most of my friends don't have computers, and the ones that do either 1) are usually incapable of running the game or 2) don't want a good game; they want the games that have the latest graphics, sound tracks, technology, require as much hardware to run as it took to design it in the first place, and etc.

I play around 98% of the time offline, and I am thankful for games that have open-ended gameplay and "sandbox" modes, if you like. There are simply not enough designed with the emphasis on player customization, and since I like RPG's alot, I am sorta playing both an RPG and a Turn-Based Strategy at the same time. Double the fun and excitement!

On turn-based strategy, I don't really get into the storylines, but I do get into the amount of features the single-player versions offer. If I have to go online to play it, I usually steer clear of it, lest it is something like Ultima Online or other MMO's that I actually can sit and enjoy at my own pace. (I play less-populated free servers with UO, so it can be at my own pace, and I can avoid the 1337 pre-TeenZ at will.) ((And, not attempting to offend anyone that's young, but I just can't trust something that's never played a DOS game before the times of the internet and enjoyed it. And by the way, good lord... 12 year olds today were born in 1994! Yikes. But, I degress.)

Just wanted to say thanks for the fun. Despite initial problems with my drivers and so forth, I've had a great time. (And, even when it did crash, I just increased the increment for Auto-Save and came back as soon as it came back up. )

P.S. Those who enjoy b****ing at the staff/developers: calm thyself. We are lucky to have such a game. I encourage them to make even more like this one. And, every game has problems when it first comes out. It's a fact of life. Everyone's machine is created differently, and not even the gurus at Stardock can plan for every tiny little possibility. I think they're doing a great job.
