I can reliably crash the game when I create an upgraded design and name it the same thing as a previous design, even from a different game. This happens somewhat frequently because I make lots of versions of each ship, as technology improves. So I have Constructor mI, Constructor mIa, Constructor mIb, then with a major change, Constructor mIIa. Every time I research a new ship related tech, all my various designs that now pop up fill up my ship builder. If I select one to upgrade, and follow my naming convention for the upgrade, and hit a name I have used before, bang, crash to desktop.
I have started varying the names, like TConstructer Ia in a game, then next game UConstructor Ia. I still hit it on occassion, and I am slowly building a large file of ship designs somewhere as I continue to play.
I would love a way to save off the base design for all newly created ships in a game, and then delete the upgrades from all previous games perminantly. I spend some time on the designs.
Vanity and all that. So I'd like to keep those, screw whatever upgrades I made in some game some week or two back.
