Hiya Guys & Gals,
I have noticed that the AI gets alot more research done then i do and i do no know how.
Even if i edit the files to get like 500+ research bonus, the AI has more tech then me.......perhaps the AI just decides out of technology it can do, to just have, which is unfair.
I played a Beginner game and i won a Cultural Victory, but i tried Normal and i got flattened in like 10-15 turns, the AI had settled 75% of the Galaxy within like 10-15 turns from the beginning. (small Galaxy)
I know i can't build a Colony ship that fast, not in the beginning anyway, but the AI did and because it had defenders within 5 turns, it mass produced 20+ and swarmed me....so it seems that the higher the difficulty, the more fast you have to rush them and that takes ALOT out of being a strategy game, its more like a Action game.
So far out of 100+ games, i have yet to do any thinking, you just rush to colonize and within like 10-20 turns you have won a Cultural game.
I let my mom try it while i watch to make sure she doesn't accidently nuke her own ships (yes, she has done that before....bad eyesight i guess) and even she says there is no strategy to it, if you have more ships, you win, if you have more technology, you win, if you have any dis-advantage against the AI, you lose.
Oh well, i guess i should just enjoy it that it wasn't rushed like most games are now-a-days.....well done though, besides the music warping which is probably my system...its well stable.
